Our history

The practice was established in 2005 by the American Clinical Psychologist Vicky Bliss, who came to the UK from Nebraska. Working as a Behavioural Consultant for Learning Disabilities and Autism, she came to the UK and continued her interest in working in the field of Autism.

Originally working as 'Missing Link', and then for many years as 'Brief Therapy Support Services', the practise has grown into todays team of Clinical Psychologists and Specialist Counsellors, all dedicated to helping people on the Autistic Spectrum.

Based now in Preston, Lancashire, Lancashire Autism Services covers the whole of Lancashire (excluding Blackpool) in partnership with the NHS. People from outside Lancashire (and from Blackpool) can access the service privately.
